This brochure is dated to 1952 from the race results on the back page. These include Ian Steels’ results from his “first two months on a Viking! This takes us to late 1951 as he won the first Tour of Britain, which ran from 19 August to 1st September 1951. This brochure was kindly shared by Bob Thom jnr, son of Bob Thom, Viking racing cyclist and Viking’s Sales Manager. Bob Thom snr can be seen on the front and rear pages of the brochure.
